Energy efficiency
The Quantum XP door along with the window is extraordinary in its efficiency when combined with energy efficient glazing. Considerable savings can be made on heating and cooling bills.
Security
Our sliding doors have passed the American Forced Entry Standard, one of the toughest forced entry standards in the world. Several integrated levels of security are available to complement our 55mm wide sash sections.
These include:
- Toughened safety glass and visibility strips. For extra security, laminated glass is an option.
- Solid die-cast aluminium locks, with a dual-beak locking action, preventing entry by lifting the door.
- Internal and external access using the standard keyed lock features.
- A 5-pin lock cylinder, allowing you to cut keys to the same profile as your front door.
- A deadlock feature with a removable snib that performs a dual function of latch and key. When removed, it provides deadlocking. When in place, it provides ease of exit in an emergency.
- A built-in red indicator flag to signal when the door is unlocked.
- A 4-point lock as an optional extra with our Quantum XP barrier door.
- A concealed vent-lock which allows you to lock the door in a partially open position. When the door is fully closed, the vent-lock can be activated with the deadlock to provide for 3 point locking.
Insect Screens
The Quantum XP insect screen door is unique, because it comes with the same 55mm sash as the sliding door, for a fully integrated appearance. A purpose built discrete latch and fibreglass mesh are supplied as standard.
